About Mondovo

You are about to put a client relationship on somebody else's software.

That is a fair thing to be careful about, so this page is the answer to it: what Mondovo is, the convictions it is built on, and the short list of things we have decided we will not do.

No founding story, no mission statement, and no customer logos. We have not earned those yet, and inventing them would be the wrong first thing to tell you.

What it is

A platform for the people who build websites for somebody else.

Agencies, studios and freelancers, building sites for clients. That is the whole audience, and it is why the product is shaped the way it is: a client has to be able to look at the work, say what they think, and end up with a site on their own address.

It builds real multi-page sites

Not one long scrolling page with a form at the bottom. The pages a business actually needs, with the content plan behind them written first.

It keeps working after launch

Enquiries land in the site's inbox and become contacts. Forms need no third-party service. Per-page SEO, version history, and a live design you can switch.

The client's site is the client's

Published to their own domain, registered to them, at their registrar. Repointing one record is all it takes to leave.

What we believe is worth building

Three decisions the product is built around.

Not values. Decisions — each one cost something to build and each one is visible in the product.

01

Nothing is designed until the content plan is approved.

The failure that matters is not an ugly page. It is a page confidently stating something about a client's business that is not true — a service they stopped offering, an area they do not cover, a claim they cannot make. So the content plan comes first, you read it, you correct it, and only then does anything get designed. Where something important is missing, it asks rather than filling the gap in.

02

A client should choose between directions, not accept the first thing generated.

One brief produces three complete designs — the same pages, the same approved content, three genuinely different ways of looking. A site can hold up to ten, and which one is live is a choice you can change later. A client who has chosen is a different client from one who has been shown.

03

The published site belongs to the customer.

On their own domain, with the hosting and the certificate. We do not register it, we do not hold it, and republishing is never blocked by which plan an account is on. A platform that is hard to leave is not being chosen, it is being tolerated.

The second decision, in practice

One approved content plan. Three complete designs.

Same pages, same words, three directions. This is what a client is choosing between rather than describing in advance, which is the part most people find hard.

What we will not do

A shorter list than a mission statement, and every line of it is checkable.

These are commitments about how the product behaves, which means you can hold us to them by using it rather than by trusting us.

We will not invent facts about a client's business.

The content plan is approved before anything is designed, and a gap is a question rather than a guess. This is the one that would cost an agency a client, so it is the one the product is most careful about.

We will not hold a domain.

It is registered to the customer, at their own registrar, and it points here through a record they control. There is nothing to request from us in order to leave.

We will not charge for drafts.

Pitching should cost nothing. You can build a site, look at it, and show it to somebody before any money changes hands.

We will not charge you for the site working.

Pages, visitors and form submissions are not counted and not billed. A busy month is a busy month.

We will not claim customers we do not have.

No logos, no testimonials, no counts, and no case studies until a real customer agrees to be named. That is why this page has none of them.

How we charge

One number, and it only starts when a site goes live.

What it isWhat it costs
Drafts, and every design you generate for themFree
One published site on a Mondovo addressFree
A live site on your own domain, with hosting and the certificate$20 / month
Each additional live site$20 / month
Team members beyond the three included$10 / month each
White-label, API access and outreach, as an add-on$99 / month
Pages, visitors and form submissionsNot counted

The white-label add-on is a flat monthly fee whatever the number of sites. It is an add-on rather than something included, and we say so on every page it appears on.

The company

There is not much to say here yet.

We would rather say nothing than fill this section with a founding story, a headcount, or a paragraph about how we believe the web should be. You are not evaluating our beliefs. You are evaluating whether the product does what this site says it does.

The only proof we have

No customer names. So look at the output instead.

Every site in the showcase was produced by the platform from a description of a business. They are not mockups and they were not touched up for the screenshot. Until a customer agrees to be named, that is the honest evidence, and it is the evidence we would rather be judged on anyway.

Look through what it produces

Start

The fastest way to judge this is to build something.

Drafts are free. Describe a business, read the plan, and see what the three designs look like.
