Carrd alternative
A Carrd alternative for when one page is no longer enough.
Carrd is excellent at one-page sites. When the business needs services pages, a blog, bookings or a store, Mondovo builds the whole multi-page site from a description of the business, or from your Carrd page's address, and gives you three complete designs to choose from.
Free plan available. No credit card required.
The short version
Read this first, and you may not need the rest of the page.
These two do different jobs. Carrd makes single pages very cheaply. Mondovo makes complete business websites, with the pages, bookings, store and inbox a growing business needs.
Choose Mondovo if
- You need more than one page: services, about, a blog, locations, a menu.
- You want bookings, a store or an enquiry inbox built in rather than added with embeds.
- You want the site written and designed for you, with three finished designs to compare.
- You want old links redirected when you move, so your Carrd page's visitors still land in the right place.
Choose Carrd if
- You need a single page: a landing page, a link-in-bio page or a profile.
- You want the lowest price on the web for it: $19 a year covers a custom domain and forms.
Capability
Side by side.
Quoted text belongs to Carrd. Rows are limited to things we could confirm from Carrd's own pages and docs.
Carrd figures were read from carrd.com and its docs on 28 October 2026.
| Mondovo | Carrd | |
|---|---|---|
| What it builds | Complete multi-page websites: home, services, about, contact, blog, listings and more. | "One-page sites for pretty much anything." Sections can be switched between "to simulate the effect of having multiple pages on a one-page site". |
| Where the design comes from | Generated for your business from an approved plan of its pages. Three complete designs per round. | Templates and elements you arrange yourself. |
| Price | Building is free. $20 a month per live site on your own domain, with hosting and SSL. The Free plan publishes one site on a Mondovo address. | Free for up to three sites. Pro Lite $9 a year (no custom domain or forms), Pro Standard $19 a year, Pro Plus $49 a year. |
| Custom domain | Included on Pro. | Pro Standard and above. |
| Forms and payments | Forms with an enquiry inbox and contacts, bookings with deposits, and a store with cart and checkout. | Forms and Stripe, PayPal and Gumroad widgets from Pro Standard; Stripe Checkout and integrations such as Zapier on Pro Plus. |
| Blog and store | Built in. | We could not find a built-in blog or store in Carrd's documentation. |
| Downloading the site | Download the published site as ready-to-host files. | Pro Plus and above: "the unminified HTML, CSS, and JS source code". Forms "will, while visibly present, not be functional in this download." |
A dash or "could not find" means we could not confirm it from Carrd's own pages, so we make no claim either way.
The trade at the centre of it
One page is a feature, until the business grows.
Carrd's single-page focus is why it is so fast and so cheap. It is also the ceiling you hit when the business needs more.
Search rewards pages, not sections
Each service, location or menu that has its own page can rank for its own searches. Sections on one long page compete for a single address.
Features that need a back end
Bookings, a store, customer logins and an enquiry inbox need more than a page. On Mondovo they are part of the site, not embeds.
Writing the other pages
Going from one page to eight means writing seven more. Mondovo drafts them from a description of the business, and you edit what it wrote.
Keeping your page's visitors
When you move, the old address can redirect to the new site, so links in your bio and old posts keep working.
What each one costs
Carrd is cheaper. That is not the whole question.
For a single page, Carrd's price is hard to beat. For a business site with bookings or a store, compare what you would add on top.
Mondovo
$20 per live site per month
Building and editing are free. Pro includes one live site on your own domain, with hosting, SSL, forms, an inbox, bookings and a store. The Free plan publishes one site on a free Mondovo address.
Carrd
From $9 a year
Pro Lite $9 a year for 3 sites (no custom domain or forms). Pro Standard $19 a year for 10 sites with a custom domain and forms. Pro Plus $49 a year for 25 sites with advanced forms and site downloads.
Prices from carrd.com/pro and Carrd's plan docs, read on 28 October 2026.
Range
Six briefs, six complete sites.

When Carrd fits
When Carrd is the right answer.
For a lot of people, Carrd is exactly the right tool, and paying more would be a mistake.
You need one page
A landing page for a launch, a link-in-bio page, a personal profile or an event. That is what Carrd is built for.
Budget is everything
$19 a year for a custom domain and forms is remarkable value. Nothing on this page beats it on price.
You like building it yourself
Carrd's editor is quick and pleasant. If arranging the page is the fun part, keep it.
You run many small pages
Pro Standard covers 10 sites and Pro Plus 25, which suits people who spin up pages for projects.
If one of those describes you, stay on Carrd. Move when the business needs pages and features a single page can't hold.
Before you move
Questions about moving from Carrd.
Can Mondovo bring my Carrd page across?
Yes. Paste your page's address and Mondovo reads the text, images, logo and colours, then plans the full site around them. You review the plan of pages before any design is made.
Can Carrd make multi-page websites?
Carrd builds one-page sites. Its docs describe linking and switching between sections to simulate the effect of multiple pages on a one-page site.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes. Point your domain at the Mondovo site from wherever it is registered; it stays registered to you.
Is Mondovo more expensive than Carrd?
Yes. Carrd Pro Standard is $19 a year; a live Mondovo site on your own domain is $20 a month. The difference buys a complete multi-page site with bookings, a store, an enquiry inbox and the pages written for you. Building on Mondovo is free, so you can compare before paying anything.
Does Carrd have a blog?
We could not find a built-in blog in Carrd's documentation. Mondovo includes a blog, with posts you can write yourself or have drafted for you.
What are the other Carrd alternatives?
Framer for animated design-led sites, Squarespace for polished templates, Wix for a large app market, WordPress for plugins, and Mondovo if you want the whole site written and designed for you.
