SMS
SMS marketing that sends reminders and follow-ups from your own number.
Connect your Twilio account, pick or buy a US number, and add text messages to the reminders and follow-ups your site already runs. Mondovo drafts the registration wording, adds consent to your forms and stops texting anyone who replies STOP.
SMS is a per-site add-on. Twilio bills your account directly for the number and messages.

Setup
From no number to approved sender, in one guided screen.
Everything lives in Settings, Integrations, Phone & SMS. Your number and your registration stay in your own Twilio account.
- 1
Connect your Twilio account
Mondovo stores your credentials encrypted and checks which numbers the account holds.
- 2
Use a number or buy one
Pick an existing number that is already approved for texting, or search US local numbers and buy one at the price Twilio quotes your account.
- 3
Get the registration written
US carriers need every business texting campaign registered. Answer a few questions and Mondovo drafts the campaign description, opt-in steps and sample messages for you to copy into Twilio.
- 4
Add consent and connect
Add an optional consent box to your phone forms, publish, and connect the sender once Twilio approves it.
What you send
Texts that go out when something happens.
SMS is a channel in the automations and journeys your site already has, so a text goes to the right person at the right moment.
- Booking remindersSend the day-before and hour-before reminders by text, by email, or both.
- Review requestsAsk for a Google review by text after an appointment.
- Follow-up journeysAdd SMS steps to journeys started by a form, a booking, an order or someone joining a segment.

- 51 day afterSMSThanks for coming, with a review link.
Consent, handled
Only people who said yes get a text.
Automated texts check for a recorded opt-in before they send. Mondovo keeps the evidence so you are not relying on memory.
The consent box starts unchecked
It is optional on your phone forms. People can still submit the form without agreeing to texts.
The wording is kept
Each opt-in records the exact wording the person agreed to and the form it came from.
No opt-in, no automated text
If a contact never opted in, or has opted out, automated texts to them are blocked.
STOP and START work
A reply of STOP records an opt-out for your site straight away. START lifts it again, as Twilio does.

Who it is for
For appointment businesses and the agencies that run their sites.
Small businesses
Fewer no-shows, more reviews
Salons, clinics, studios and trades that take bookings on their site. A text reminder is read when an email is not, and a review request lands while the visit is fresh.
Agencies
Texting on the client's own account
Each client keeps their own Twilio account, number and registration, so the client pays Twilio directly and keeps everything if they ever move. You set up the journeys on the site you already manage.
- SMS is a per-site add-on for the site that sends texts.
- Twilio bills your account directly for the number, messages and carrier registration fees.
- Drafting the registration wording and adding consent to forms cost nothing extra.
- Building and editing your site stays free and never uses credits.
Questions
What people ask before they connect a number.
Do I need my own Twilio account?
Yes. Your number, messages and registration live in your Twilio account and Twilio bills you directly. Mondovo connects to it. If you do not have an account yet, create one with Twilio and add funds first.
I already text from a Twilio number. Can I keep it?
Yes. Connect the account that owns it. If the number already has an approved texting campaign, you can connect it without registering again.
Why do I need to register, and do you do it?
US carriers require businesses to register before texting customers from a local number. Mondovo writes the campaign description, opt-in steps and sample messages from your business details. You review them, paste them into Twilio and submit. Approval is up to the carriers.
Can customers text back?
They can reply, but Mondovo does not show replies in an inbox. It reads STOP and START to keep your opt-out list right. Other replies can be seen in your Twilio account.
Can I text everyone on my list at once?
Not as a one-off blast. Texts go out from automations and journeys, for example when someone books, fills in a form or joins a segment you define.
Does it work outside the US?
The guided setup covers US local numbers. Toll-free, Canadian, Indian and other international senders need their own registration, which this setup does not cover.
Can I text contacts I already have?
Only those who have opted in. Connecting a number does not import consent, and Mondovo never assumes it from an existing list.
