For salons and spas

In your trade, the website is part of the service.

Nobody chooses a colourist on a spreadsheet. They look at the room, the work, the prices, and how the whole thing feels — usually on a phone, usually late. A site that looks careful is doing the same job your window does.

The home page of a generated hair salon site
Aura & CoA real generated site for a hair salon, built from a short description of the business. A demonstration, not a customer — the salon and everything written on it are invented.

Three directions

You do not have to know what you want it to look like.

One brief produces three complete versions of the site. The words and the pages are identical in all three; only the look changes. You pick, and if none of them is right you ask for another round. A site can hold up to ten, and you switch which one is live whenever you want.

Treatments and prices

Put your prices up in April without asking anyone for help.

The treatment list is the page people read hardest, and it is the page most salon sites get wrong — a price list from two years ago, or worse, a photograph of one. Here it is text you click and change.

  • Click the price, type the new oneNo queue, no invoice for half an hour of somebody's time, no waiting until Thursday.
  • Or say it out loudDescribe the change and it is made for you. Every live site comes with voice minutes each month, which is easier when you are between clients.
  • Add a treatment as a pageIf a treatment deserves explaining properly — what it involves, how long it takes, what the aftercare is — give it a page of its own.
  • Put it back if it goes wrongEvery version of the site is kept, so a bad edit at the end of a long Saturday is undone rather than mourned.

Eleven o'clock at night

Most enquiries arrive when the salon is shut.

Somebody has been looking at hair for an hour and finally types a message. Nobody is at the desk. What happens next is the whole game.

It reaches you two ways

Emailed straight away and kept in the site's own inbox. With nothing configured it goes to whoever owns the account, so it works from the first night.

They are still there in the morning

Anyone who leaves an email address becomes a contact with a note of what they asked, so the reply is not a guess.

A busy month is just a busy month

Enquiries and form submissions are not counted and not charged for.

Being straight with you

The bits that stay where they are.

Your bookings, your deposits and your column are not moving. If clients book through a system you already use, the site sends them to it, and the diary you look at every morning is unchanged. Nothing is paid for on the site itself.

We would rather you read that here than find it out in week two.

What it costs

$20a month, once the site is live on your own web address
  • Free while you are building it, and free to publish one site on a Mondovo address while you decide.
  • Hosting and the padlock in the address bar are in the price. Your domain stays registered to the salon.
  • Pages, visitors and enquiries are not counted. Three people can be on the account, and each extra is $10 a month.

Take the site down and the charge stops. The month already paid for is not refunded, and the site stays in your account.

Questions

Asked across the desk.

My photos are all on Instagram.

Upload the ones you want on the site and put them where they belong — a gallery, a treatment page, the front page. Images can also be generated to fill a gap while you build up your own, and every live site comes with an allowance for that. Your own work will always be the better picture.

Can clients book online?

Not through us. If you take bookings somewhere already, the site links to it and sends people straight there. We would rather say so plainly than let you discover it later.

What if none of the three looks right?

Ask for another round. The words and the pages stay as they are; only the look is regenerated. A site holds up to ten versions and you choose which one is live.

Will it look right on a phone?

That is where nearly everyone will see it, so it is built for a phone first and you can look at both while you are choosing.

We are opening a second place.

A second site is another $20 a month, in the same account, and the same people can look after both.

I already have a site I hate.

Give it the address. The pages and words come across so you are not typing the treatment list again, and the design is rebuilt around them. You read what it found before anything is generated.
