The chat in the site editor can make almost any change you can describe: new sections, layout changes, new wording, animations or a different feel.
Steps
- Open your site in the editor and find the chat box (Ask for changes).
- Optional: click the part of the page you mean, so the chat knows what to change.
- Describe the change, for example "Add a testimonials section under the services".
- Watch the preview update. If only part of a request could be made, the chat says so and offers a retry.
- Click Undo on the activity strip if you do not like the result.
Tips for better results
- Be specific. "Make the hero background dark blue with white text" works better than "make it look better".
- One change at a time is easier to get right than a long list.
- Name the page if the change is not on the page you are viewing.
- Show an example. Attach a screenshot or paste a link to a site you like.
If the preview is blank or shows an error
Ask the chat: "Fix the errors on this page." If a recent change caused it, undo it or restore an earlier version. If it keeps happening, ask the assistant to create a support ticket.
Good to know
- Chat edits are free and unlimited. Very rapid use has an hourly limit; wait a few minutes if you reach it.
- You can change who receives a form's enquiries by asking, for example "email enquiries from the contact form to sales@example.com as well".
- To try bigger changes safely, use a page draft.
