Every chat box with a microphone lets you speak instead of type. There are two ways to use it.
Dictate a message
- Click the microphone in a chat box.
- Speak your request. Your words appear in the box as text.
- Check the text and press Send. Send works while you are still dictating.
Have a voice conversation
- Click the microphone to start voice mode where it is offered, for example in the site builder chat, the design assistant or Creative Studio.
- Talk through what you want. The assistant answers out loud and carries out the requests you approve.
- Click End when you are done.
Good to know
- Voice mode has a monthly allowance of minutes. Hover the microphone to see how many you have left.
- Dictation stays private. Your voice is only sent to our own transcription, and you are told if a recording could not be transcribed.
- Voice works in the same places as typing, so anything in Get things done by asking the assistant works by voice too.
