White-Label Setup Guide: Run Client Websites Under Your Own Brand

How white-label works in Mondovo: the four setup steps in order, what your clients see, how neutral site addresses work, and how to connect your own and your clients' domains.

White-label lets you run client websites under your own agency's brand. Your clients see your name, logo and colours on their portal, on preview links and in the emails we send them, and their live sites carry no Mondovo badge. This guide explains what changes, what to set up and in which order, and what happens to site addresses. Steps were checked on 22 October 2026.

White-label comes with the Agency add-on, which also includes client outreach tools, API access and extra storage. You turn it on from Workspace settings → General → White-Label Branding.

The setup in four steps

Do these in order. With white-label on, you can't invite a client until steps 2 and 3 are done, because the invitation has to come from your brand and open on your domain.

  1. Add your brand. Brand name, logos, colours and favicon.
  2. Verify your email sender, so client emails come from your agency's address.
  3. Connect your dashboard domain, for example app.youragency.com.
  4. Invite your first client to their site.

All four live in one place: open the menu under your avatar, choose Workspace settings, then White-Label Branding on the General tab.

Step 1: Add your brand

On the White-Label Branding page, fill in:

  • Brand name (required). This replaces "Mondovo" for your clients.
  • Logo for light backgrounds and logo for dark backgrounds: PNG, SVG or WebP, up to 500 KB.
  • Primary and accent colours. The page warns you if the contrast is too low to read.
  • Favicon: PNG or ICO, up to 100 KB.
  • Support link (optional): where clients go for help, such as your contact page.

The live preview beside the form shows how the portal will look.

Step 2: Verify your email sender

Under Email sender domain, enter a sending address on a subdomain you own, for example noreply@mail.youragency.com, and an optional "From" name. You'll get a few DNS records to add at your domain provider. Add them, then press Check verification. It can take from a few minutes to a few hours for DNS changes to show up.

Once verified, client invitations, sign-in and password emails, and your clients' site emails (form notifications, booking and order confirmations) are sent from your address. If a site has its own verified sending domain, that one is used for that site's emails instead.

Step 3: Connect your dashboard domain

Under Dashboard domain, add a subdomain such as app.youragency.com. The screen shows the exact DNS records to add (a CNAME and a TXT record). Add them, then verify. When it's active, the whole editor, dashboard and client portal also work on your domain, with your brand.

Your own workspace at app.mondovo.com keeps the Mondovo look. Your clients and your team see your brand when they use your domain, so share that address with them.

Step 4: Invite your first client

Open the client's site, go to Settings → Portal, switch on Enable Portal and invite them by email. Choose what they can do:

  • Editor: can change content.
  • Reviewer: can review and comment.
  • Viewer: can look but not change anything.

You also choose which parts of the portal they see, such as the editor, enquiries, analytics and SEO. Client portal access is unlimited and doesn't use a team seat. By default, changes a client publishes need your approval, and a site's first publish always stays with you.

Your client gets an email from your brand with a button to their portal. The invitation lasts 30 days.

Site addresses: neutral domains

Every site has an address before it gets its own domain. Without white-label that address ends in mondovo.co. With white-label, new sites get an address on a neutral domain that doesn't mention us, such as yourclient.fullyloadedsites.com.

  • New sites get a neutral address straight away.
  • Drafts you already had move to a neutral address automatically, usually within an hour of white-label turning on. The old address redirects to the new one, so links you've shared keep working.
  • Sites that are already live keep their address. We don't move a live site on its own, because that would change a URL your client may already be using. To take Mondovo out of a live site's address, connect your client's own domain.

Prefer your own name in preview links too? Under Workspace settings → General you can connect a preview domain, such as previews.youragency.com. New sites are then shown at addresses like previews.youragency.com/yourclient.

If you don't set up a domain

A site can go live without its own domain. It then stays on its neutral address, or on your preview domain if you've connected one. That works for testing and for clients who aren't ready yet. For a real business, connect the client's own domain: it's better for trust, for search and for email.

Custom domains need the Pro plan.

Connecting your client's domain

  1. Open the site and go to Settings → Domain (you can also do this from the Publish window).
  2. Enter the domain, for example yourclient.com.
  3. Add the records the screen shows: a TXT record to confirm ownership, and a CNAME for www. Some DNS providers let you point the bare domain (yourclient.com) at the site too; with others, the bare domain forwards to www.
  4. Press verify. Once the domain is active, the site switches to it, with a secure (https) connection.

Don't have access to your client's DNS? Press Open full DNS setup guide on the domain screen. It's a page you can send to your client or their IT person. It needs no login, shows the exact records with steps for common providers, and doesn't mention Mondovo. Copy it from your dashboard domain so the link carries your address.

Three domain settings, three jobs

It's easy to mix these up, so here they are side by side:

SettingExampleWhat it's forWhere
Dashboard domainapp.youragency.comYour clients and team log in and edit on your domain, with your brand.Workspace settings → White-Label Branding
Preview domainpreviews.youragency.comDraft and preview addresses carry your name.Workspace settings → General
Client's own domainyourclient.comThe live website's real address.Site → Settings → Domain

There's an optional fourth: a portal domain such as portal.yourclient.com, so your client logs in on their own domain. It needs the site's custom domain first, and lives in Site → Settings → Portal.

Common questions

Why can't I invite a client yet?

With white-label on, invites wait until your email sender and your dashboard domain (or a portal domain) are verified. Otherwise the first thing your client saw would be an email or login page that isn't yours.

A preview link still says mondovo.co. Why?

Drafts move to a neutral address within about an hour of white-label turning on. If the site was already live before that, it keeps its address until you connect a custom domain.

Can I give a client full control instead of the portal?

Yes. Invite them from Workspace settings → Team as a member with access to their site only. That uses a team seat, and they see your brand when they log in on your dashboard domain.

What happens to my clients' sites if I turn white-label off?

Your sites stay live where they are. Your branding is removed from the portal, previews and emails, and Mondovo's appears instead.
