Import content from WordPress or Shopify

Bring blog posts, pages and products across from WordPress, a sitemap, a single page or a Shopify store address.

You can bring content from your old website into a Mondovo collection, such as your blog or products, without copying it by hand.

From WordPress, a sitemap or one page

  1. In your site's workspace, go to Website → Content and open the collection to fill, such as Blog.
  2. Choose Import, then WordPress. You can also enter a sitemap address (to import many pages from any platform) or a single page address.
  3. Run the import and watch the progress. Images are copied across and leftover page-builder code is cleaned up.
  4. Check a few imported items, then publish.

From a Shopify store

  1. Open your products collection and choose Import → Shopify.
  2. Type the store's web address. No export file, app or password is needed.
  3. Review the imported products and categories, then publish.

Good to know

  • Old links from imported content are added to your redirects. See Keep old links working after a redesign.
  • Importing does not start any of your email journeys.
  • You can also import a collection from a CSV file with Import → CSV upload.
