If your client should be able to change the design, add pages and publish, give them a team seat limited to their own site instead of portal access.
Give full control
- Open your avatar menu → Workspace settings → Team and click Invite.
- Choose the Member role. Under Site Access, choose Specific Sites and tick only this client's site. Do not choose All Sites or Admin, or they could see your other clients.
- Once they accept, you can make them site admin for that one site from the site's team settings.
- Member: uses the AI assistant, edits pages and content, and publishes updates to a site that is already live.
- Site admin: can also run the first publish, edit the theme, and manage settings and domains. The first publish starts the site's monthly charge on your account.
See what your client sees
- Open Site settings → Client portal.
- For portal clients, under See what your client sees, choose Preview as Editor, Reviewer or Viewer. The real portal opens with your branding, and nothing you change is saved. The × hides the preview bar while you record a walkthrough.
- For team-seat clients, choose Preview as Member or Preview as Site admin. This is the real workspace, so changes are saved.
Good to know
- A team seat counts toward your team limit. Portal clients do not.
- Give team-seat clients your own dashboard address so they see your brand. See White-label Mondovo for your agency.
