Set up tax for your store

Tax settings decide how tax is added to orders and shown on receipts.

Steps

1. Open Site settings → Tax / GST.
2. Choose how you charge tax:
   • None.
   • Manual: your own percentage rates per country or region.
   • GST (India): enter your GSTIN, your state and your rate. CGST and SGST, or IGST, is worked out for each order.
   • Stripe Tax: tax worked out automatically by Stripe, if you use Stripe.
3. Say whether your product prices already include tax.
4. Save and publish.

Good to know

• Use your real registration details and rates. If you are unsure, check with your accountant.
• To show prices in other currencies, open Site settings → Currency.
• Place a test order to check the tax line. See Test your store before launch.
