Test your store before launch

Use test payments or demo payments to place real-looking orders without charging anyone.

Before you open your store, place a few test orders to check products, delivery, tax, emails and checkout.

Test with your own payment account

Open Site settings → Payments.
In your provider's settings, turn on test payments (for example Use test payments for Razorpay).
Publish, then place an order on your live site using your provider's test card details.
Check the order in Store → Orders and the emails you received.
Switch to your live keys before you open for real.

No payment account yet?

Each provider in Payments has a Demo payments option. It lets you try the whole checkout without an account of your own. Demo orders are marked as tests.

Good to know

While test or demo mode is on, every page of your live site shows a "test mode" bar. When you add live keys and save, the site updates and the bar goes away.
Test payments are never sent to your ad platforms as sales.
