Use pipeline stages, owners and tasks

Move leads through stages you name, assign each lead to a teammate, and set follow-up tasks with due dates.

Contacts can move through a simple sales pipeline, have an owner on your team, and carry follow-up tasks.

Stages

By default a contact's stage is New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted or Lost. You can rename the pipeline, set your own stages and mark which one counts as won. Contacts on an old stage stay where they are until you move them, so nothing is lost by experimenting.

Steps

  1. Open Messages & customers → Contacts and open a contact.
  2. Set their stage.
  3. Choose an Owner from your team.
  4. Open the Tasks tab and add a follow-up with a due date.
  5. Use the My leads filter on the contacts list to see the people assigned to you. Overdue tasks show first.

Good to know

  • Logging a call with "call back" creates a task for you. See Log a call or walk-in.
  • Contacts marked as won count as customers in your results. See See which ads and campaigns work.
  • You can ask the assistant: "Assign Priya to Sam and remind him to call her on Friday."
