Register your number for US texting

US carriers require business registration before you can text. Mondovo prepares the wording; you submit it in Twilio.

US mobile carriers only deliver business texts from numbers registered to a brand and a messaging campaign (called A2P 10DLC). Registration is done in your Twilio account. Mondovo helps you prepare it.

Steps

  1. Open Site settings → Integrations → Phone & SMS and go to the Registration step.
  2. Answer the questions: your business type, country, registered address, tax ID (such as an EIN), the authorised representative, and what you will text people about.
  3. Review the prepared text: a campaign description, how people opt in, and sample messages. Everything is editable and has a Copy button. You can also download a copy to keep.
  4. Choose which of your forms should ask for SMS consent, then publish those forms. See Collect SMS consent on your forms.
  5. In the Twilio Console, register your brand and campaign, paste the prepared text, and attach your number to the campaign's Messaging Service.
  6. Wait for approval, then come back and refresh. Once approved, connect the number.

Good to know

  • Twilio charges registration fees to your account. Carriers review every campaign and can reject it.
  • If your campaign is under review, wait and refresh. Do not create another registration.
  • If it needs corrections, update the same campaign in Twilio, then refresh in Mondovo.
  • The sample messages are for carrier review. Your real texts are written in your automations and journeys.
